These are the minutes from our February 7th meeting:
3 great way to be involved!
1-Help post posters for Kyoto Birthday (Monday 12)
2-Help making signs for Kyoto’s Birthday (Friday 16)
3-Volunteer to do security for Kyoto’s March (Saturday 17)
Library improvement funds
They are improving the libraries.
Marcelle is involves with making the libraries greener.
She is asking us how can we make the libraries better green spaces?
Any suggestions for lighting? Green printing? Other suggestions?

Marcelle also want to run for SSMU VP club and services.
She wants to have the club and the election running in more environmentally friendly ways. You can email her is you have any suggestions.
Budget
We should have $450 left.
Greening McGill will pay for printing 150 posters for the March for Kyoto Birthday.
March Kyoto Birthday (Saturday 17th at 11:00)
Poster Posting: Monday the 12th
Meet at Burnside Basement
At 7PM for McGill University
At 8PM for the city
Poster and sign Making: Friday 16th
Come and help to prepare for the march at 4:30 at QPIRG
Bring some food for the potluck.
We need volunteers to do the security for the day of the march
We are looking for a speaker at the end of the march. Do you have any ideas?
Kyoto Birthday Week (12-16)
We will have cake from Midnight kitchen everyday.
There is a special issue in the Daily about Global Warming.
There will be a speaker (T.B.A.)
Thursday 15: Dance Party! at 1221 Cresent St Pub
Friday 16: Save the Winter sports!
The Sierra Youth Coalition is organizing games all across Canada.
We will do a paper free advertisement campaign and try to advertise through emails and word of mouth
Referendum question
If you want to support QPIRG and the green fees, come to the SSMU council on Thursday 15.
Article for the Daily
We need someone to write an opinion letter for the Daily about climate justice for Friday. Michelle might do it but would appreciate some help or suggestions!
There will be a picture taken at the Daily office (in SSMU basement) at 3:30 on Thursday 8th for a new paper article.
Plate club
The plates have arrived!!!
We will go pick up the plates on Monday the 19th. We will meet at Métro Université de
Montréal at the turnstile at 15:45.
We have to start thinking about advertisement. We could lend plates at organic corner (with deposit) for people eating at the cafeteria.
We need to write the contract.
Canadian Youth Climate Coalition
We support the coalition BUT…we need to send a representation for their meetings. Anybody interested?
